Being lazy about Information Technology

Information Technology, most people when hearing this term think of computers, the Internet, TV and other things. What makes Information Technology really, it is not the fact you have a computer or a TV but what is inside a computer and a person's mind to make each work.

People don't look at whats inside the box really before buying it. Lets put it this way if I was to sell you a cheap dell with 512MB ram and a 1.2GHz processor, most people would look at you and say that's a good deal. Wrong, Information Technology is a vast field that is growing by the day and second so you have to keep up to date with it constantly or you will get left behind. Most old people.. these days say they are too old for computers, or too old for video games. That is in-fact not true at all and is just laziness. Even old people with Alzheimer's disease can still operate a computer or a video game. My Grandmother plays mahjong all the time. That game at times takes some hand/eye coordination because you have to spot each tile and move your hand to get to it. Lets say I threw you into a random MMO (Massive Multi player Online) game of my choosing based on the type or experience of games you have. All you have to do is explore the options and read the basic instructions. Mahjong follows the same guidelines to an extent if someone lets say at the age of 8 doesn't know how to play for example. If they don't know how to play that game but play an MMO game then well, they can learn, anybody can learn. Even old people. Maybe the learning can slow to an extent but what I'm trying to say is people can easily keep up with technology and how to use it in a correct manner without the computer always blowing up for example.

Now that part is out of the way onto the real part about this post. The learning people can do, people can understand hardware, or software to its finer detail, or both actually. Most are too lazy to do this though.. that is why they don't learn anything in the long run. It took me years to get to where I am even starting at middle school actually, or even younger. I started learning at a young age and the younger you start learning the better you get to be at things.
If people looked at something and understood the meaning of it actually like the 512MB ram with a 1.2GHz processor speed mostly is a low grade Intel or AMD processor, don't feel like going through to dig up actual labels but I just proved a point here. People are lazy, now back to the example if people read that off people wouldn't understand what those mean exactly, numbers and the actual speed of the computer. The example I gave you shows you a really slow machine that nobody would really want is mostly out dated with windows 2k or barely running windows XP. Understanding your computer or other technology gets you a step further in the game so you know exactly what your getting and how you can use it. Lets use that example again, you cant really play an MMO on it for sure, or maybe you can dunno it might crash with a 1.2GHz processor speed depending on the game and video card you have too.. Everything is dependent on each other to make sure it runs and functions correctly in information technology.
